The Yamuna Expressway Authority's residential plot programme, announced in December last year near the impending Jewar airport, concluded on January 24 after receiving more than 30 times the response.
In comparison to the 416 plots available in YEIDA sectors 16, 18, and 20, which are situated 6 kilometres from the planned airport, the Authority received 13,889 applications, authorities announced recently.
The plot sizes vary from 120 to 500 square metres and 1,000 to 4,000 square metres, with an asking circular price of between Rs. 17,400 and Rs.17,800 per square metre.A high of almost 7,000 applications were received for 120-square-meter plots, while a minimum of two applications was received for 500-square-meter plots. Notably, larger plots of 1,000, 2,000, and 4,000 square metres drew just 128, 27, and 21 applications, respectively.
According to authorities, the drawing of lots will take place after the model code of behaviour is withdrawn."Around 13,889 applications with regards to the scheme were submitted. This scheme has around 416 plots up for grabs. This figure may rise after data consolidation. The circular cost would be Rs. 17,800 per square metre for plots up to 200 square metres and Rs. 17,400 per square metre for plots larger than 200 square metres," said Shailendra Bhatia, OSD of YEIDA.
"This massive reaction demonstrates the public's intense interest in the Yamuna Expressway corridor. Apart from the future airport in Jewar, interest has increased as a result of our many development initiatives, which include the International Film City, industrial parks, and a high-speed rail project," the senior YEIDA official stated.YEIDA has previously offered a residential plot project consisting of 440 plots.
