According to Indian Warehouse industry insiders, alternative investment management company Blackstone has bought 2.5 million square feet of warehousing assets from Vertical Warehousing near Delhi in one of North India's biggest warehousing transactions.

Both operational and strategic land parcels for future development comprise the asset. Approximately 1.5 million square feet are occupied and leased.

Since NCR is one of the fastest-growing industrial and logistic industries, Blackstone has been extending its presence in the region.

The current asset is located in Jhajjar, Haryana, and is accessible from Gurgaon and Delhi, according to the sources.

International and domestic investors invested around USD144 million in green field and brown field assets in the I&L sector during the first half of 2022.

According to sources, the transaction was advised by the multinational property consultant CBRE.

Vertical Warehousing, located in New Delhi, owns and operates a number of Grade A logistic parks in the Delhi-National Capital Region.
