Significant Expansion of Logistics Portfolio

Investment and asset management firm Alta Capital has acquired more than 2.5 million sq ft of fully-leased logistics assets from IndoSpace, a deal valued at approximately ₹840 crore (over $100 million). Insiders describe this transaction as one of India’s largest in the logistics and warehousing sector for the year.

High-Grade Assets Across Strategic Locations

The newly acquired Grade A assets are located in Pune’s Ranjangaon and Chennai’s Sri City, covering 1.3 million and 1.2 million sq ft respectively. These properties primarily cater to the logistics needs in the western and southern regions, enhancing Alta Capital's strategic regional presence.

Boosting Alta Capital’s LogiCap Platform

With this acquisition, Alta Capital’s warehousing portfolio expands to 11 million sq ft nationwide. The deal aligns with Alta’s strategy of consolidating logistics assets under LogiCap, its recently established platform for warehousing investments. The portfolio includes facilities leased to top clients such as Haier, Motherson Sumi, Jabil, Whirlpool, and Alstrom.

Alta Capital’s Broader Investment Vision

Under the leadership of Siddhartha Gupta, former MD of Blackstone India, Alta Capital has invested over $1 billion in 2023 alone across four sectors: warehousing, managed workspaces, student housing, and educational infrastructure.
