In the Talegaon neighbourhood of Pune, Ashiana Housing has announced plans to invest more than Rs 275 crore in a senior living project.

This is the developer's second project in Pune, and their combined investment in both ventures totals Rs 575 crore.

The decision to invest in senior living originates from the increasing popularity of this lifestyle, as retirees seek out spacious and tranquil environments. Pune was chosen as the project's location due to its year-round temperate climate, which is ideal for senior citizens who prefer milder weather.

Ankur Gupta, Joint Managing Director of Ashiana Housing, stated that the project's target demographic is those aged 55 and older.

The first phase of the project will include 220 units with usable square footage spanning from 637 to 1,122 square feet. These units will range in price from 57 lakhs to 1.27 crore rupees.

In addition, Ashiana Housing has begun construction on its first project in Pune, Ashiana Malhar, which encompasses 11.33 acres near Hinjewadi and requires an investment of approximately Rs 300 crore.
