The Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has authorised 12 new industrial smart cities in 10 states to boost India's industry. This initiative, investing ₹28,602 crore, aims to generate 40 lakh jobs and boost industrial capacities in the nation.

Bandhan Bank will sell its ₹775-crore affordable house loan portfolio to Avenue Capital-backed Arcil for ₹280 crore. A planned cash transaction by the bank addresses financial challenges for low-income households struggling to repay housing loans of ₹10-12 lakh.

Suraj Estate Developers, situated in Mumbai, plans to raise 400 crore via a main market share sale. The residential and commercial firm plans to use ₹285 crore for debt payments for both itself and its subsidiaries. The corporation would also spend 35 crore on property or land development rights.
