MMRDA is set to redefine Marine Drive with a proposed six-lane coastal road and twin tunnel project - aimed at easing congestion, boosting connectivity, and reshaping South Mumbai’s real estate future.

Morningstar, a leading American financial firm, has leased 300,000 sq ft at Vishwaroop IT Park, Vashi, for ₹38 crore annually with a 5% yearly hike. The 10-year deal, totaling ₹450 crore, highlights Navi Mumbai's rise as a commercial and IT hub, driven by its strong infrastructure and connectivity.

As the last span of the northbound Mumbai Coastal Road is installed, it will connect smoothly to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL). The 44-meter bridge span arrived in Worli on Monday from Karanja Port in Navi Mumbai, ready for deployment on Tuesday with a backup on Wednesday.

Southern Mumbai's new Eastern Freeway from Orange Gate to Grant Road will be built by the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai. Transport times and connections will be greatly reduced by this 5.5-kilometer corridor. Project completion is scheduled in three and a half years by J. Kumar Infra.

The longest sea bridge in the country is currently being built in Mumbai. Connecting Sewri in South Mumbai to Chirle in Navi Mumbai, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is a massive civil project spearheaded by the MMRDA.

In Mumbai, the BMC has issued bids for the building of an elevated road between Orange Gate (where the Eastern Freeway starts in south Mumbai) and Grant Road in February 2023.
