Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and started over Rs 20,000 crore in development projects in Tiruchirappalli to boost Tamil Nadu's economy. On January 2, 2024, these projects included rail, road, oil and gas, and shipping, signifying a major infrastructure investment in the state.

Trichy: TNHB or Tamil Nadu Housing Board started the construction of High Rise Residential projects. The project is being constructed for HIG or High Income Group with 14 floors and 56 units.
