In 2015, the scheme was developed with a mission “Housing for All”, PMAY or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was initiated with an aim to provide shelter for about 20 million people by 2022. The beneficiaries can be subsidized up to 6.5% on house loans through the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) under PMAY. Both online and offline application process is available for the PMAY scheme. Nevertheless, possessing all the supporting documents to avail of the loan subsidy is important.
