ESGRO stands for "environmental, social, governance, and real estate," and it is a paradigm that takes a broad approach to fostering sustainability in the real estate industry

The real estate management division of Embassy Group, known as Embassy Services (ESPL), has released a set of guidelines for environmental, social, and governance in its real estate operations (ESGRO).

This will allow property management (integrated facilities management) to adhere to the SDGs set out by the United Nations. Using this structure, ESPL will assist its customers in taking a proactive stance toward achieving their ESG targets and in handling the logistical concerns that come with property management.

In the commercial real estate sector, corporations have pledged to encourage net-zero practises among their shareholders and other key constituencies. When evaluating a company's operational aims and ambitions, the ESGRO framework will be in step with its developing ESG policies. Social equity, training and development, health and safety, wellbeing, employee engagement, CSR, supply-chain performance, risk management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance are just some of the social and governance facets that will be supported by the framework. It also addresses environmental performance and climate change with a prioritised focus on water stewardship, energy management, and waste management.

ESPL has made the investment in consulting skills necessary to assist customers in the incorporation of ESG through practical initiatives. The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Real Estate Organization (ESGRO) follows international sustainability standards and is dedicated to tracking, enhancing, and evaluating policies that strengthen ESG in the real estate industry. The ESGRO framework will implement high-quality standards and procedures to aid customers in developing, maintaining, and speeding up operational mechanisms throughout their real estate infrastructure in accordance with India's goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

Given our extensive portfolio of managed business parks, solar plants, industrial parks, luxury residential properties, and commercial offices, we are well-positioned to advise and assist our customers in developing their own ESG initiatives. There are unique challenges and opportunities for implementing ESG strategies in every company and industry. According to Pradeep Lala, MD & CEO of Embassy Services, "ESGRO is about how we can endeavour to embed the most sustainable practises and assist their goal of ESG as an IFM partner."
