Gurgaon's upscale real estate market is making waves with a staggering INR 100 crore transaction for a sprawling 10,000 square feet residence at DLF's The Camellias. Located on the city's coveted Golf Course Road, this property's value has seen a meteoric rise.

Just a season ago, a similar space in the same complex was priced at a mere INR 60 crore.

The allure of DLF Golf Links, encompassing projects like the Aralias, the Magnolias, and the Camellias, has grown exponentially. Insiders attribute this to the unparalleled amenities and ecosystem that attract the crème de la crème of the business world, including startup moguls and top-tier MNC executives. Amit Goyal, the helm at India Sotheby’s International Realty, highlighted the significant price appreciation these properties have witnessed over the past year. While DLF offers these luxury spaces in a basic condition for around INR 85 crore, owners who've splurged on interiors now command a price tag exceeding INR 100 crore, placing these homes among India's priciest.

This surge has elevated Gurgaon and select Delhi locales to the ranks of Mumbai's elite neighborhoods, with property rates surpassing INR 1 lakh per square foot. The Camellias, in particular, is now spoken of in the same breath as Delhi's prestigious Lutyens zone, home to India's business and political powerhouses.

Notably, about 15% of The Camellias' residents previously resided in 'The Magnolias' and 'The Aralias'. Prominent figures like Aman Gupta of BoAt and JC Chaudhry from Aakash Educational Services now call The Camellias home. Post-pandemic trends suggest that the ultra-affluent are gravitating towards gated communities, valuing the convenience and security they offer.

A decade ago, The Camellias was introduced at a rate of INR 22,500 per square foot. Today, that rate has soared to over INR 85,000. To put it in perspective, a residence bought in 2014 for INR 23 crore now boasts a valuation close to INR 85 crore. While Delhi's luxury market is burgeoning, Mumbai's iconic SoBo locales, such as Peddar Road and Marine Drive, continue to hold their prestigious positions.
