A major real estate deal in Khar west reconfirms its strong position in the Mumbai real estate market.

John Abraham, a renowned Bollywood actor, has made a significant investment in Mumbai's real estate by purchasing a luxurious bungalow in the Khar area. The property, spanning 5,416 square feet with an additional land area of 7,722 square feet, was acquired for a staggering Rs 70.83 crore.

These details were revealed by property registration documents accessed by IndexTap.com

Located on Linking Road in Khar, a prominent retail high street in Mumbai, the bungalow also benefits from being in a neighborhood known for its educational institutions. For this property, Abraham has paid a substantial stamp duty of Rs 4.24 crore, with the deal being officially registered on December 27, 2023.

While a response from the actor is still anticipated, his investment in such a significant property has been the talk of the town.

In contrast to the trend among contemporary Bollywood stars who generally prefer apartments in high-rises due to Mumbai's space constraints, Abraham's choice of a bungalow reflects a preference more commonly seen among the industry's veterans. Bungalows, given their spacious and horizontal layout, are a rarity and a symbol of luxury in Mumbai's real estate market.
