Maruti Acquires 270K Sq Ft on Lease in Tag Avenue, Gurgaon

Maruti Suzuki, the largest automobile manufacturer in India, has leased 270,000 square feet of Tag Avenue in Gurgaon, according to Indian real estate sources.

Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, requested that the automaker relocate its corporate headquarters to Gurgaon and allotted 900 acres of land in Haryana to Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Suzuki Two Wheeler India Private Limited.

The current location of the company's headquarters is on Nelson Mandela Marg in New Delhi, and it also has an office in Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon.

According to Rahul Bharti, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs for Maruti Suzuki India Limited, there are no plans to relocate the corporate headquarters. The developer of Tag from Gurgaon declined to comment.

The government of Haryana is constructing an industrial and commercial town on 3,300 acres near Kharkhoda (Sonipat) as well as an industrial model town (IMT) on roughly 1,400 acres in Sohna.
