MHADA redevelopment projects in Mumbai

The Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority (MHADA) has recently presented plans to the state government for three large redevelopment projects in Mumbai that are anticipated to have a substantial influence on the city's real estate market.

The projects, including the cluster redevelopment of Abhyudaya Nagar in Kalachowkie, Adarsh Nagar in Worli, and the Bandra Reclamation plan, are situated on property controlled by MHADA.

Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a formal letter explaining the ideas has been delivered to the housing ministry in Mantralaya.

MHADA has proposed tenders be opened for the redevelopment of these areas.

The recent decision by the government to continue with the reconstruction of Dharavi, one of the biggest slums in Asia, implies that these three megaprojects may also be approved in the near future.
