New 40 Acre Warehouse in Talegaon at Chakan Talegaon Industrial Corridor

Mahindra Logistics (MLL) and Ascendas-Firstspace are building a one million square foot multi-client warehouse complex in Talegaon, Pune. The whole facility will be developed in three phases, with the first phase of 500,000 square feet anticipated to be operational by the end of the 2023–2024 fiscal year.

The Ascendas-Firstspace Pune Talegaon-II logistics park is located on forty acres of land. This is the second property constructed in this micromarket by Ascendas-Firstspace, a joint venture between CapitaLand Investment and Firstspace Realty and is part of the Chakan Talegaon Industrial Corridor (CTIC).

The centre will concentrate on the development and application of automation technologies on Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics & Automation, Augmented Reality Virtual Reality (ARVR), Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and Block-Chain.

The Mahindra Logistics A-Grade warehouse will be constructed in compliance with the company's sustainability requirements. Attempts to get LEED certification.

"The one million SFT facility will allow us to expand our offering of integrated solutions to customers in the area."

"This collaboration is a testament to the decades-long history of trust and good growth between CapitaLand Investment and Ascendas-Firstspace."

In 2022, 43% of all transactions will be in the 3PL sector, making logistics outsourcing a key trend, according to Sanjay Bajaj, director, logistics & industrial, India at JLL.
