NoBroker and ElectricPe, India's most trusted EV charging network, have teamed to install 100,000 electric charging stations in residential neighbourhoods this year.
India is predicted to have over 5 million public charging stations by 2020, with different stakeholders collaborating to alleviate range anxiety via increased charging point density. The alliance will see charging stations installed throughout NoBroker residential welfare societies (societies that have adopted the NoBrokerHood society app), including apartments, gated communities, and standalone structures, making it easier for consumers to access EV charging in their neighbourhood.
Not only is car charging made more accessible, but it also becomes more smooth, as vehicle owners may scan and pay quickly or have the charge added to their monthly energy bill using the NoBrokerHood app. The goal is to make the whole procedure smooth for app users.
Residents will be able to see available EV charging locations using the ElectricPe app, reserve charging spaces for their EVs, and even pay per-use.
Residents will also have the option of requesting a charging station be installed in their private parking lots after permission by their RWA.
"With environmental concerns and government support, electric cars will soon become the new normal. However, the scarcity of charging stations has been a significant impediment to vehicle owners making the switch. We're thrilled to join with ElectricPe to give convenient access to charging stations for our consumers. ElectricPe charging stations will be distributed to residents and tourists as part of this agreement, promoting clean, economical, and smart electric transportation. All of this at the press of a mouse," said Saurabh Garg, co-founder and chief business officer of NoBroker.
"We are aiming to establish a dense network of charging stations throughout India in order to support the Indian government's bold vision for electric transportation. In this vein, we are thrilled to work with NoBroker, a startup that is likewise looking forward to encourage EV adoption by providing EV charging infrastructure directly to customers' homes. We intend to close the infrastructural gap that presently exists in the nation via strong collaborations like these," said Avinash Sharma, co-founder and CEO of ElectricPe.
ElectricPe is a business-to-consumer EV charging and demand generation software that provides EV drivers with a single point of access to EV charging stations while also tracking real-time use to ensure a trustworthy network. ElectricPe will have access to NobrokerHood sites throughout India as a result of this relationship, bringing the firm one step closer to realising its aim of giving simple access to charging to a billion Indians.
