Mumbai: Rajesh Labhubhai Lakhani, Director of Kiran Gems, one of the world’s largest natural diamond manufacturers, has acquired a luxury sea-view apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Worli locality for over ₹97 crore. The super-premium residential tower, Three Sixty West on Dr. Annie Besant Road, houses this 14,911 sq ft RERA carpet area apartment on its 44th floor.
High-Value Property Details
Lakhani’s purchase was made jointly with two family members. The transaction, registered on May 29, included a stamp duty payment exceeding ₹5.84 crore, as shown in documents accessed through Zapkey.com. The apartment was bought directly from Sahana Group’s Skylark Buildcon and Moon Rays Realty, part of the joint venture Oasis Realty, which developed the project with Oberoi Realty.
Exclusive Amenities and Notable Transactions
The Three Sixty West development comprises two towers, one of which houses The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, while the other will feature luxury residences managed by The Ritz-Carlton. As part of the deal, Lakhani will have exclusive access to seven car parking slots and an additional balcony area of 884 sq ft. Notably, in April, Mavjibhai Patel, Kiran Gems’ Managing Director and part of the promoter group, also purchased a luxury apartment on the 47th floor of the same tower for over ₹97 crore.
Kiran Gems’ Prestige and Market Impact
Kiran Gems, established in 1985, specializes in producing diamonds and precious stones and is a sightholder authorized to buy rough diamonds directly from the De Beers Group. The acquisition underscores the robust demand in Mumbai’s real estate market, which saw an all-time high in residential property sales across mid-income, premium, and luxury segments in 2023.
