Versova is an upmarket residency in Western Mumbai, Ghatkopar, and an old suburb of Mumbai with planned connectivity in all four directions through the Eastern and Western Express Highway. Ghatkopar-Andheri link road has made both the region a preferred tenant destination.

While Versova is for the affluent gentry, Ghatokpar caters to a varied audience. The locality is divided into regions- Ghatkopar East and Ghatkopar West. Separated by a distance of hardly 7km through a railway line, the two regions are distinct. A potential residence purchaser here must know certain things before zeroing in on the site.


PRICE TRENDS

INFRASTRUCTURE
East Ghatkopar is closer to the Eastern Express Highway and enjoys better connectivity to other parts of the city. In addition, the condition and width of roads in the East is better than West. Ashwini Kumar of Property Fete Real Estate says, Ghatkopar East has better drainage than the West. Since west is a low laying region, it often gets water logged in monsoons. Narrow roads also lead to traffic congestion in the West.

DEMOGRAPHICS
Ghatkopar East is majorly resided by Gujarati crowds, many of whom are businessman and diamond merchants. The West contains a mix of Gujarati and Muslim crowd, informs Kumar.

Versova is the expensive side of the city. Well-known public figures reside in the region.
