The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued a request for proposals for a vacant block of land in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The railway property close to Ramgarh Tal Lake in Mohaddipur is largely a residential and business neighbourhood adjacent to the Mohaddipur block's railway sector.
The Ramgarh Tal site is 32,911 square metres in size. The main road in front of the property is designed to be 30 metres wide.
A leasehold property with an area of 32,011 square metres will be awarded to the qualifying highest bidder for 99 years. The site's reserve price is Rs.89.40 crores.
RLDA intends to develop some of the site's existing railway quarters at a different location. Numerous high-rise residential/commercial buildings are now under construction in the area, making this a very visible development site. The pre-bid meeting was conducted in Gorakhpur on 23rd March 2022, and notable state and local developers attended, expressing significant interest in this property piece.
Vice-chairman of the RLDA Ved Parkash Dudeja noted, "Gorakhpur boasts a number of industrial units, making it one of the state's most important cities. The planned site is situated in a very advantageous position near a residential and commercial core that is linked to the city's other important areas. Its development will bolster Gorakhpur's already-growing economy.
To the east of the railway station is Vindhyavasini Park, while to the west is Gorakhpur bus station. The property is similarly surrounded on the south by Ramgarh Tal Lake and on the north by the Railway Golf Ground. The location is located near many tourist attractions, including the Neer Nikunj water park, the Buddha Museum, Champa Vihar Park, the Planetarium, and Vindhyavasini Park.
Gorakhpur is the North Eastern Railway's zone headquarters.
It is a significant railway station in Uttar Pradesh that connects the Purvanchal area (Eastern Uttar Pradesh) and Northern India to Bihar and Nepal.
