The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has revised the alignment of the Sewri-Worli connector to reduce its impact on existing structures. This decision was made during an authority meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Approved Alignment Changes

 The revised alignment involves constructing the Rail Over Bridge (ROB) at the first level within the railway boundary, following the standard municipal corporation guidelines. Approaches to the ROB will be built at their current locations. Subsequently, the elevated road work at the second level will commence. Approval for the general arrangement drawing related to these changes has been granted.

The plan includes maintaining the current locations for ROB approaches, streamlining the construction process and minimizing the project's overall impact on the existing infrastructure.
