Six-lane National Highway Announced - will connect Chitradurga and Davangere in Karnataka
The Union Transport Minister of India has recently stated that the National Highways Authority of India would spend 1,400 crore rupees to develop a new six-lane national highway in Karnataka.
The 72-kilometer motorway connecting Chitradurga and Davangere is anticipated to enhance connectivity and minimise travel time between the two cities. The project would also boost mobility between India's IT hub, Bengaluru and Mumbai, the financial capital of India.
This New Highway will be a 6 lane National Highway in Karnataka and will be built with an approximate investment of INR 1400 Crores.
In order to decrease future maintenance costs, the project intends to employ sustainable techniques and materials, such as plastic in bituminous concrete and milling material in service roads.
Mr. Nitin Gadkari, India's Minister for Road Transport & Highways, said that this project is in addition to the previous announcement of the building of a highway between Nelamangala and Devihalli in Karnataka, which is part of National Highway-75.
There is no doubt that this new highway will improve the real estate market in Chitradurga and Davangere due to the improved connectivity. This will also boost the overall real estate scenario in North West Karnataka.
