The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) finally held the lottery draw for the Pune Housing Scheme 2021, on July 2. The lottery draw was supposed to happen on June 29, 2021 but got delayed at the last moment. The MHADA Housing Scheme 2021 lottery registration was concluded on June 14, 2021. Earlier, the scheme was extended by a month, due to the COVID-19 restrictions. In order to provide affordable and quality homes to the low and mid-income segment buyers in Pune, MHADA had announced new lottery schemes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad areas, on April 14, 2021. Around 3,000 flats were up for sale, in the city and suburban areas.
The Authority allots houses to eligible applicants through a lottery system. Successful applicants are then asked to submit all the necessary documents, along with 10% of the base cost of the house.

How to check winners’ list
Applicants can check the list of previous winners on the MHADA Portal. The lottery results have been listed scheme-wise, as well as by description of tenements and income group.
How to check the waiting list
Applicants can also check the waiting list on MHADA portal if they were unable to find their name on the winners’ list. The units surrendered by the allottees are given to people from the waiting list. This could take up to two to three months.
MHADA Pune refund details
MHADA processes the refund amount of unsuccessful applicants within seven days after announcing the lottery result. Also, the refund is processed through the same payment method which is used for paying the registration amount. If the refund is not received within seven working days, the applicant can contact the MHADA Pune helpline and present the application ID to check the real-time status.

This time, the Authority is allotting flats under different categories, which includes the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), MHADA’s own inventory, first-come-first-served flats where options will not be allotted on a lottery basis and an all-inclusive scheme where all amenities are provided inside the complexes. Eligibility for MHADA housing scheme, Pune
- The age of the applicant must be above 18 years.
- The applicant should have a Domicile Certificate.
- The applicant should have a PAN card.
- If the applicant’s monthly income is between Rs 25,001 and Rs 50,000, he/she can apply for Lower Income Group (LIG) flats.
- If the applicant’s monthly income is between Rs 50,001 and Rs 75,000, he/she can apply for Middle Income Group (MIG) flats.
- If the applicant’s monthly income is Rs 75,000 or above, he/she can also apply for Higher Income Group (HIG) flats.

Steps for applying for the MHADA Pune lottery
Step 1: Registration
Visit MHADA Pune platform Click on ‘register’ after which you will be redirected to a user form.
Select a user name, choose a password and save it for future purpose. Submit the form, after filling in all the information. Verify your mobile number, which will be used for future communication purpose.
You will be redirected to another form, where you need to mention your monthly income, bank account details and applicant’s photo.
Once you have filled all the information, click on confirm. Verify all the details entered and submit the application form.
Step 2: Lottery application
Users will be able to apply for the scheme, only after MHADA approves the photo identification.
Choose the desired housing scheme and fill in the details such as income group, scheme code and reservation category.
Fill in the information about the present accommodation and income details correctly. Submit the application.
Step 3: Payment
Make the payment against the selected scheme. The applicant needs to download the receipt of acknowledgement, by printing the application form.
Affix the applicant’s photograph on the application form and scan it and save it as a JPEG. Upload the scanned image of the acknowledgement receipt. Click on the ‘Pay Online’ button, to proceed with the payment.
After clicking on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ button, you will be redirected to the payment gateway, for the payment of the amount.
Click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions. Once you make the payment, the process is completed.
