Volkswagen Tech Arm Leases Office Space of Around 1,23,000 in Hudson Block, Pune

Volkswagen Group’s subsidiary, Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India, has finalized a lease agreement for a three-story commercial tower in Hinjewadi, Pune, for a period exceeding five years. This new office, encompassing over 123,000 sq ft in the Hudson Block, is part of the Embassy Tech Zone within the Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park in the second phase of the Hinjewadi development layout.

Formerly known as Volkswagen IT Services India, Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India serves as a global technology hub for the Volkswagen Group. Operating in India since 2016, the company has established offices in Pune, Bengaluru, and Gurugram, employing over 2,600 professionals.

According to the lease agreement, the company is set to pay an initial rental of ₹66.60 lakh per month, with a rental escalation clause of 15% after 36 months, starting from September 2024. Additionally, the company will incur maintenance charges of ₹15.20 per sq ft monthly and a parking fee of ₹2,500 per slot for 123 car parking spaces. The company has also paid a security deposit of nearly ₹4 crore, with a lock-in period of 36 months. The lease includes a four-month rent-free fit-out period, concluding in September.
