Indian Proptech - Zapkey's Latest Funding
Zapkey Technologies, a Mumbai-based Proptech business, has secured a pre-Series A fundraising round headed by DSP Group Family Office and included participation from Gruhas Proptech and DLF Family Office.
The first home sale guarantee platform in the United States secured $2 million in seed investment in February 2022. DLF Family Office, Blume Founders Fund, Alkem Labs Family, Aprameya Radhakrishnan, Kotak Investment Advisors MD Srini Srinivasan, and several individual investors joined Gruhas Proptech to form this round.
In 2020, Shubhankar Dongre, Sandeep Reddy, and Rajiv Seetharaman launched Zapkey as a house selling assurance platform. The company stands behind its promise to sell a property within three months of its listing.
Zapkey plans to invest the funds on research and development and growth into new markets.
We have the highest faith in investing in Zapkey because of the stellar reputation of its founders. Director of the DSP Group Family Office Shuchi Kothari affirmed that the company satisfies all of their criteria, including the size of their entire addressable market and their product market fit during the last year.
The platform claims to provide a fair market price and sales transparency by basing pricing on algorithms that track more than 10 million property registration data. Zapkey has attracted over 8,000 property sellers in its first market. It has around 2,500 local brokers as part of its network of distributors.
There is no doubt that this funding round will impact the current ecosystem of new age proptech portals in India in a big way and there will be a lot of new players from this sector emerging in the near future.
