Bengaluru:

The real estate ecosystem in India keeps growing stronger everyday.

WSB Real Estate Partners, once known as Walton Street BlackSoil, has planned to raise fresh capital. As the company anticipates the full deployment of its 700-crore second fund within the next couple of months, it has a strong focus on the expanding south Indian markets.

The managing partner at WSB Real Estate Partners, Vimal Jangla, unveiled the company's strategy also indicating that critical urban centres like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai will be the principal benefactors of the new fund. The company intends to invest in residential real estate projects in these metros with a focus on middle-income bracket buyers.

Seeking partnerships for the future, the company has in mind, developers with a track record of both timely and exceptional deliveries. Jangla recalled the company's investment voyage since 2013, mentioning a 1,400-crore investment in south Indian markets and successful exits totalling over INR 1,000-crore across 20 separate deals.

What has been a common factor is the consistent demand from individual purchasers in this region, a sign of stable and encouraging investment landscape.

Jangla also mentioned about the success of the Walton Street BlackSoil Real Estate Debt Fund II (WSBREDF II) by highlighting their previous accomplishments including an INR 500-crore fundraising target last year along with an additional INR 250 crores.
