Yusen Logistics Secures Prime Warehouse in Mumbai's Industrial Hub Yusen Logistics India, the Indian arm of the global supply chain solutions giant, has signed a long-term lease with Macrotech Developers for a 200,000 sq ft warehousing facility in Palava near Mumbai.
The facility, part of Lodha Industrial & Logistics Parks (LILP), aligns with the Tokyo-based company's strategy to enhance its distribution network in India.
State-of-the-Art Facility Tailored for Yusen's Operations
The built-to-suit warehouse will support Yusen Logistics' growing operational needs. Currently undergoing fit-out work, the facility is expected to be fully operational in the coming months, strengthening the company’s presence in India’s key industrial hubs.
A Strategic Move to Expand Nationwide Footprint
This lease agreement is part of Yusen Logistics’ larger goal to establish a stronger foothold across India. As a subsidiary of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Group), the company leverages its global expertise to tap into India’s booming logistics sector.
Yusen’s Established Presence in Indian Logistics
Since its inception in 2011, Yusen Logistics India has grown to employ over 650 professionals across 20 cities, including major hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The company provides services ranging from warehousing to freight forwarding, playing a pivotal role in India's logistics ecosystem.

The lease comes amid a surge in warehousing demand in India, driven by e-commerce expansion and the rise of third-party logistics (3PL) providers. These trends have transformed India into a key market for global logistics players seeking to meet the growing demand for faster and more efficient supply chain solutions.
